HBU?*
*How ‘bout you?
HBU?* is a way of starting an open and honest conversation with people of school age, about the decisions they are likely to have to make when faced with drugs for the first time.
These decisions are often driven by influences such as stress, peer pressure, or other substances. The HBU? exercise gives participants an opportunity to form their decisions in a safe space, during a guided conversation with an adult and their peers.

About Changing Lives
We believe that everyone deserves a safe home, a rewarding job and a life free from addiction or abuse. We also believe that, given the right support, anyone can change their life for the better. By focusing on someone’s strengths, potential and opportunities, we help around 14,000 people overcome their problems and live safe, successful, independent lives each year.
"Youth Commission members had really positive feedback for On The Brink. They felt that the videos opened up opportunity for discussion without judgement and that the storyline was realistic and more engaging than traditional drug and alcohol education." Emily Blavins. About the
HBU project
This resource is designed for all secondary school aged young people. The aim is to engage in peer-to-peer discussion and debate to create learning and consideration of what the students might do in the simulated situations whilst in the safety of the classroom.
